Born into this world tiny, pail and frail
Uncertain of what you had to offer – besides joy and laughter
You stole everyone’s love with your bright blue eyes
Years later brought adolescent fears and first-love tears
You had so much to offer now besides just joy and laughter
And everyone still loved your bright blue eyes
Wedding plans, then tiny hands, you now have a family
Providing so much to all, in addition to joy and laughter
You gave each baby your bright blue eyes
The years will pass away, and my memories may also fade
Forgetting much of the joy and laughter
At least I’ll see, right next to me, your bright blue eyes
